Winter 2025
Digital Issue
A collection of stories about winter RVing & camping
The promise of the open road doesn’t disappear when the snow starts flying. Actually, in many places, the road only becomes more open as travelers race to southern locales or stow their rigs away for the winter. We understand why some prefer an idle off-season, one spent planning new chapters of warm-weather revelry. But as we studied the trends of vehicle-based adventure, we couldn’t help but notice: Winter camping is having a moment.
Right now, a growing number of RVers are staying on the road all year round — and that’s not just because they flock to campgrounds in Florida and Arizona. Vehicles are better equipped than ever to handle treacherous weather. Modern gear makes boondocking more feasible. Plus, cold-weather communities across the country offer solitude, recreation, and world-class culture for those willing to make the drive.
As we compiled this digital issue, we kept in mind the road trippers who are willing to make that drive. From holiday gifts to winter camping gear and choice destinations, this digital issue offers inspiration to stay out there all year long — and to maybe even point your wheels a little further north this winter.
