Water exploration
The full Keys magic lies beneath the ocean’s surface. An ancient coral reef has drawn humans into the depths for centuries to explore among 500 species of marine life, or to skim its surface fishing or paddling. Peek the vast underworld of wonder and awe at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park or search the Shipwreck Trail of the Florida Key National Marine Sanctuary. In the Upper Keys, rent a kayak at Robbie's Marina and paddle to the wrecker ghost town island of Indian Key. To fish shimmering flats or backcountry, see the experts of the Lower Keys Guides Association.
