Bikepacking

Cycling culture runs deep in Fayetteville. It’s home to iconic road routes and some of Arkansas’s earliest mountain bike trails. As gravel cycling’s popularity booms, locals have started exploring the Ozarks in a new way – multi-day adventures via bicycle on hundreds of miles of unpaved roads. Bikepackers leaving from Fayetteville can navigate to the Boston Mountains in the Ozark National Forest, the Buffalo National River, Devil’s Den and the Ozark Plateau National Wildlife Refuge. The city and Bikepacking Roots teamed up to launch an extensive route network. Route distances range from 60 to 260+ miles, which equates to 2-day and 4+-day trips.
